Stemming from an interactive approach to identity, a sound-reactive generative logo was created for the telecommunications company Oi. Through bespoke software, colourful fluid shapes are created as the user speaks or inputs sound into the unique tool. As a leading telecommunications brand in Brazil, the dynamic logo is at the center of their journey to create distinctive services and experiences for their customers. The responsive trademark reflects a more digital and personal aspect of the role that Oi plays in the lives of its users. The shape and colour of the logo are determined by the characteristics of the individual sound or voice. The dynamic logo was designed for an open digital world and the result is a living breathing entity that constantly changes and responds to it’s environment.

Partnering with WolffOlins London we built the software that enables anyone to animate their Oi logo – by talking, shouting, clapping or playing music – and then to save their own unique version, moving or static, based on the inputted sound.
