research / communications
Through research and development, Monique explores the artistic and conceptual positioning of the projects at onformative. She supports commissions and self-initiated works through writing, documentation and communications. After receiving her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Studio Arts from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada, she went on to explore the funding aspects of cultural projects. Monique’s interest in the intersection of art, concept and exploration has lead her to collaborate with other artists and work on a diversity of creative projects with small organizations and non-profits.
Her artistic practice is based in textiles, drawing, radio and sound as she is intrigued by memory and the residual effects of transformational experiences.
